Our Trusted Trade Network has been developed to help homeowners, landlords, businesses, and community organisations find reputable local tradespeople who share our values and commitment to excellent customer service.

Gold Community Champion

Awarded to businesses demonstrating exceptional commitment to mentoring, apprenticeships, volunteering, and community support.

Additional recognition may include featured profiles, award nominations, and priority invitations to collaborative initiatives.

Membership Standards

Applicants should normally demonstrate:

  • Appropriate public liability insurance.

  • Employer's liability insurance where legally required.

  • Compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Appropriate qualifications or certifications where applicable.

  • A professional approach to customer service.

  • A commitment to health and safety.

  • Agreement to follow the HomeHelp Build Code of Excellence.

HomeHelp Build CIC may request supporting documentation during the application process.

HomeHelp Build Code of Excellence

Every member agrees to:

1. Work to a Professional Standard

Deliver workmanship that reflects pride, skill, and attention to detail.

2. Be Honest and Transparent

Provide clear quotations, communicate openly, and avoid misleading information.

3. Respect Every Customer

Treat customers, their families, neighbours, and property with dignity and courtesy.

4. Communicate Clearly

Respond to enquiries promptly and keep customers informed throughout every project.

5. Work Safely

Follow relevant health and safety requirements and maintain safe working practices.

6. Act Fairly

Deal with concerns professionally and work towards reasonable resolutions where possible.

7. Support the Community

Where practical, contribute positively through mentoring, apprenticeships, volunteering, or community initiatives.

Working with Elderly and Disabled Residents

Many of our projects involve supporting vulnerable members of the community.

Trusted Trade Partners are expected to:

  • Be patient and understanding.

  • Communicate clearly.

  • Respect privacy and independence.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour.

  • Leave homes clean and safe.

  • Raise safeguarding concerns through the appropriate authorities if they believe someone is at immediate risk of harm.

Supporting Future Tradespeople

HomeHelp Build encourages members to help develop the next generation of skilled professionals by:

  • Offering work experience where practical.

  • Supporting apprenticeships.

  • Mentoring new entrants to the industry.

  • Sharing knowledge and experience.

Participation is voluntary but strongly encouraged.

Customer Feedback

We encourage customers to provide honest feedback about their experience.

Constructive feedback helps businesses improve and supports the ongoing development of the Trusted Trade Network.

Complaints

If concerns are raised about a Trusted Trade Partner, HomeHelp Build CIC will review the information fairly and give the member an opportunity to respond.

Repeated or serious breaches of our membership standards may result in suspension or removal from the network.

Membership Reviews

Membership is intended to be reviewed periodically to help maintain the integrity of the Trusted Trade Network.

Reviews may include confirmation that:

  • Insurance remains current.

  • Contact details are up to date.

  • Membership standards continue to be met.

  • The Code of Excellence continues to be followed.

Using the HomeHelp Build Trusted Trade Logo

Approved members may display the HomeHelp Build Trusted Trade logo while their membership remains active and in accordance with our branding guidelines.

The logo must not be altered or used in a way that suggests HomeHelp Build guarantees individual workmanship or accepts legal responsibility for services provided by members.

Important Information

HomeHelp Build CIC aims to promote high standards and encourage good practice among its members.

Membership indicates that a business has agreed to our standards and Code of Excellence. It should not be interpreted as a guarantee of workmanship, nor does it make HomeHelp Build CIC responsible for contracts or disputes between customers and individual businesses.

Customers should always satisfy themselves that any contractor they appoint is suitable for their particular project.
